Arriving at the minneapolis airport at 7:30 found us in chaos of lines and people everywhere as we looked for a line we could get in tO go through security a gentleman came and took a whole lIne of us and said "follow me " we'll get you checked through quicker at another area. He then took us downstairs , through baggage claim and on through International arrivals and got us through in no time. When we got to Atlanta at 1:30 it took us no time to find our gate for departure and find a seat. Got some food,watched a.number of ground personnel check out our plane. Pretty soon the gate attendant came on the mike to inform us that there was a mechanical problem with the airplane and that they would need to empty the plane of all luggage and food move the plane out and bring another another plane up for us. Departure put off until 5:00 possible. Right now departure says 5:30 so hopefully we will get going pretty sOon. Oops they just changed it to 5:50. Sorry for the typing. I'm on my Phone. I am getting ready for the Italian Adventure. And then beyond.
Funny story.
The ski club was planning a ski trip to Germany this year so planned and saved. In December that trip was cancelled because there were not enough people in the ski club interested in going.
So Connie Sherman (cousin) decided to use the money and booked a cruise in the Mediterranean. Well, the boat sank. So now we had plance tickets to Rome that could not be refunded so well, the rest is almost History. We are leaving tomorrow for our great Italian Adventure.....
